The challenge
As the world slowly emerged from COVID 19, Ipsen recognize the gap that the prolonged Work From Home setup created between the members of its team.
A lot of people had never met each other before, were unfamiliar with the workplace, and were not properly oriented to the responsibilities and roles of other teams. To work more cohesively, the team needed to address these issues.
What we did
Our process was to troubleshoot the culture dynamics through interviews and identify what was missing in Ipsen's culture. We then designed a set of experiences that would enable and empower the teams to bridge their own gaps.
As opposed to the traditional one way lecture sessions, The Zone approach is experiential and interactive. We get people to move, discuss, write, break into smaller groups, share back. In order to unlock collective intelligence, we ensured that everyone is relaxed, engaged, and contributing.
Ultimately this fostered new found openness, connection and the fostering of a strong culture to guide the team forward.
What was special about working with The Zone?
The Zone embedded deeply within the organization to best understand and get to the heart of what was happening and what was needed for Ipsen. This deep level of care activated The Zone as more than a simple consultant as we became part of the team.
This meant fast results. People who arrived on day one unengaged and even disinterested had changed dramatically by the end of the day to inspired, activated and connected. To themselves and one another.
What were the results?
The return on investment of The Zone workshop was felt almost immediately. The team quickly began operating less as individual units to be more collaborative, delivering on the original goal. VP Drew Sansone remarked that the team quickly became more efficient. Different departments are now more understanding with each other, and everyone is more energized to work together. And most importantly, everyone is actively on the bus and contributing!
"We saw results immediately. If you’re looking to optimise your team, The Zone is a good idea."
